LGBTQIA+ Archive Class Projects

This class project was a collaboration between Professor Debra Young (Department of Languages & Literatures) and Ellen Neuhaus (Digital Scholarship Librarian).

During the spring 2025 semester, students from the WGS 2040: Intro to LGBTQ Studies class worked in groups to identified artifacts they believed are important to the lives of the LGBTQIA+ community at the University of Northern Iowa. Students studied the materials and developed metadata for the online archive of documents and wrote background research articles and developed bibliography of sources.
