Description

A UNI team recently created a free, openly-licensed textbook, Elements of Creative Writing (https://manifold.open.umn.edu/projects/elements-of-creative-writing). In addition to textbook content to help creative writers, the book incorporates sample readings in 3 genres from the pages of the North American Review (NAR), the oldest literary magazine in the U.S., which is published at UNI. Two faculty authors (NAR editors) and an NAR staff member will describe the project motivation and process as well as the impact of the new book on the course and the magazine.
