Abstract
Every school is searching for the key to a more successful curriculum, a curriculum that allows for quality learning and useful applications, a curriculum that will allow their students to grow into thinkers and problem solvers. The use of inquiry and constructivist based teaching methods seem to be the key to this type of curriculum. These ideas allow for better understanding of the concepts because the concepts are explored in a hands-on, minds-on setting fostering conceptual understanding as opposed to memorization. This also allows the concepts to be applied to different situations.
