Abstract
This graduate project focuses on developing and delivering a comprehensive onboarding curriculum for new-hires at a medical billing software company. The curriculum was designed to address high employee turnover attributed to inadequate training. Grounded in the ADDIE Instructional Design Model and Knowles’ Adult Learning Theory, the project involved a structured process of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The resulting hybrid training program includes in-person instruction, online compliance modules, and detailed assessments tailored to the organization’s needs and resources. Feedback from alpha and beta testers informed iterative improvements, ensuring the program’s effectiveness in enhancing new-hire readiness. Post-implementation evaluations revealed significant improvements in new employee retention and preparedness. This project highlights the curriculum’s scalability for diverse organizational roles and its potential for future customization to meet department-specific requirements.
