Abstract
Physical inactivity is one of the leading concerns in today's society. Current research shows that today's children are most definitely less fit than children 20 years ago. According to the research, today's children seem to be heavier and over weight. Plus there is more overall health concern for the children then ever before. The focus of this study is to examine the benefits of soccer in diverse soccer programs and their cultural differences and to examine how soccer can help the youth to live better and healthier lives.
In this study we examined a different aspect of youth development and how soccer impacts these areas such as: the academic performance in children, coordination, skills in concentration, team communication, persistence and self-discipline, reduce anxiety and equality of sex when boys and girls play as equals. According to different research, the soccer as a sport has many benefits such as: social, health, physical, psychological and many more.
Soccer as a sport is considered to be one of the most popular sports in the world these days. It is a sport that is played by millions of people and it has its unique universal language. Different research suggests that soccer as a sport can truly help to reshape our societies thinking and bring that missing link toward better and healthier lifestyles. I think that we need to think about all of these areas of opportunities with soccer as a sport and its unique value. I believe that our society could use that to our advantage and perhaps create the link that will help out youth to be more involved in physical and recreational life.
