Abstract

The K-2 students are outside to recess, and they all seem to be having a great time, except for Paul. Paul, a first grader, is sitting on the steps crying. Julie walks up to Paul and asks him what is wrong. He tells her that Josh said he couldn’t play kickball with his friends because they didn’t like him anymore. Julie, who is always friendly to those around her, tells Paul that it’s ok and that he can come play with her and her friends. He quickly jumps up to join her and the tears are gone.
