Abstract
One of the major purposes of the school librarian as well as of the teacher is to help students acquire knowledge. Reading, observing, telling, reporting, listening, discussing, planning, and problem solving are the essential communication skills that need to be developed. Skill in gathering and utilizing information and knowledge is required in critical thinking. These skills must be taught deliberately and practiced thoughtfully.
