Abstract
This study was designed to compare the teaching of the use of the card catalog by programmed instruction with the conventional lecture techniques now being used, to discover the more effective method of teaching this material. An experimental group and a control group will be pretested, instructed, and post-tested to compare the effectiveness of the methods.
