Abstract
The problem is divided into two major parts. The first part of the problem is to survey the schools in Iowa in which typewriting is presently taught in the junior high grades to determine the following:
1. Objectives of the course
2. Texts or other instructional materials used
3. Content of the course
4. Frequency of the course
5. Length of the course
6. Special problems peculiar to such courses
The second portion of the problem is the construction of a course of study for typewriting at the junior high school level.
