Abstract
In recent years educational leaders have become increasingly aware of the importance of effective school community relationships. James L. Hymes, Jr., a recognized educator, states, "Home-school relations is a new field. Very little research and experimentation are available as direct guides. "1 Administrators, supervisors, and classroom teachers are seeking information and practices which may be applicable to local needs. This study was in the area of establishing desirable school-community relationships in one school district.
