Abstract

The intent of this essay is to develop a broader perspective of the impact that leadership has on the bottom line, student achievement. It is the responsibility of educational leaders to enable stakeholders to clarify priorities and develop plans to achieve that ultimate goal, an upward trend in achievement for all students. As members of the administrative and school leadership teams, the principals will continue to develop an ongoing process of looking around the comer, asking if what is happening in the educational environment is making a difference, and remember that perception is reality.
