Abstract

I completed and submitted all the entries required for the Young Adolescence Science NBPTS portfolio. Entry one involves designing science instruction. In this entry, I followed one theme, matter, through several activities. Entry two was probing student understanding. I completed this entry using a cookie mining activity to understand the effects of mining. Entry three was inquiry through investigation. My students investigated making observations using black boxes. Entry four consists of my personal documented accomplishments and how they relate to student learning. These accomplishments include learning center, special projects, and co-teaching.
