Abstract
The purpose of this study was to review available research pertaining to the influence of medical providers on breast-feeding. The present study explored the literature on the benefits of breast-feeding. Initiation and duration of breast-feeding were also discussed along with several barriers to breast-feeding. Improvements on implementing the 10 recommendations for a baby-friendly hospital were taken into consideration.
