Abstract
This is an overview of the best practices of worksite wellness. It examines how worksite wellness benefits employers through the containment of health care costs, better return on investments, and healthier and more productive employees for companies. It discusses the major themes of best practice workplaces, with three examples of companies that have succeeded in the development of their wellness programs. It concludes with a summary and discussion of the literature followed by a recommendation for employers and a recommendation for future research.
