Abstract
The purpose of this review is to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the 1 RM and RTF prediction method for the evaluation of bench press performance as an indicator of upper body strength. A secondary purpose is to determine what factors need to be considered when using a RTF prediction method to estimate 1 RM bench press strength.
