Abstract
Stress is a common part of life for everybody, including graduate students. Graduate school is a time of balancing numerous life roles (e.g., student, worker, friend, family), and all those roles are being balanced in a competitive academic environment (Fried et al., 2022). In fact, graduate students report that school-related stress has a negative impact on their overall well-being and that finding a balance between their life roles and responsibilities is important (Fried et al., 2022). Furthermore, graduate students recognize the importance of coping skills and yet often feel there are barriers to improving upon their skills (Fried et al., 2022). Therefore, as a graduate student myself, it is important to find healthy ways to cope with the stress of balancing numerous life roles and responsibilities.
