Abstract
This research investigated the occurences of stereotyping of Native Americans in young adult literature, using the young adult novels available in the Monticello, Iowa, Jr./Sr. High School. Twenty-eight Native American fiction books were read and evaluated. Of the twenty-eight books read twenty-three had 3 or more stereotypes.
