Abstract

Recent information, summarized by Seal and Casler (1984), appears to stress certain educational issues which include the rapid growth of a technology-based society. They maintained an argument for properly administered technology by skilled professionals. Training in the area of technology-based instruction for teachers can help to ensure its proper application in instructional situations. Because of the enhancement of learning which can take place through technology-based instruction, there is a long-term need to address teacher preservice to the profession on the topic. Likewise, inservice teacher education programs need to be updated if technology implementation in schools is to be successful.
