Abstract
Does the use of calculators affect the achievement levels in the classroom? With the expanding use of calculators in everyday life today it is evident that changes in modern society are leading to new ways to incorporate them into the curriculum. In recent years the cost of hand-held calculators has decreased significantly, making them more accessible to the general population and to the schools. This allows them to be used as productive instructional devices.
