More precisely, the questions that were asked are: Is there a significant relationship between the amount of time spent on reading in the home and the reading and comprehensive scores as measured by the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) among fourth grade boys and girls? Likewise, is there a significant relationship between the amount of time spent viewing television and reading and comprehensive scores as indicated by !TBS among fourth grade boys and girls?
