Abstract
Most research on the topic of peer education is regarding the benefits for the mentees. There is limited research on the benefits for the mentors.
It is important to understand why students are taking peer education positions in order to grow peer education programs across the country. It will be critical for students and faculty to learn the life long benefits gained from being a peer mentor.
