Abstract
Riverside National Cemetery is home to a National Medal of Honor memorial. It is one of the few locations that Congress has recognized as a National Medal of Honor memorial site. The interior courtyard of this dramatic monument contains a fountain and displays designs for the Army, Navy, and Air Force medals. Since its origins in the Civil War fewer than 4,000 medals of Honor have been awarded.
