Abstract
Since 1920 the motion picture as an aid to classroom teaching has been subjected to much research. As a result of these studies, reliable information about the values and limitations of this device is available. Techniques of operation and methods of presentation have been devis ed to assist the teacher in the use of this audiovisual aid. Through continuing research a better understanding of the use of films can be achieved, and more desirable results can be obtained from better utilization of available equipment.
