Abstract
Vocal music activities at the junior high school level are of significant importance in the creative and personal development of the adolescent. During these junior high school years a boy quite often goes through the greatest vocal crisis of his musical life. The physical problem of his changing voice coupled with adolescent fluctuations of interests and moods has discouraged many a boy from becoming a musically interested man. In order to retain and train the adolescent voice for future personal enjoyment, the interest and participation of the junior high school boy in choral activities must be maintained. The use of choral music that appeals to the junior high school boy and is within his voice range is of prime importance.
