Abstract
The purpose of this study was to prepare a workbook-text tor the instructor or student of the collage brass instrument class. The study includes sections on (1) the history of the instrument, (2) the selection of a player, (3) the care of the instrument, (4) the principles of playing, (5) the principles of fingering, (6) the choosing of a mouthpiece, (7) the purchase of an instrument, {8) teaching aids, and (9) representative literature.
