Abstract
There has been increasing interest in recent years in finding effective approaches to the education of the retarded child. Remedial programs based upon the diagnosis of specific disabilities of the child with mild mental retardation may serve to remove or decrease some of the obstacles to learning for the child. One of these obstacles may be faulty visual perception. This investigation was based upon the experimental use of a test designed to assess visual perceptual abilities and a program designed to train visual perceptual abilities.
