Abstract

It was the purpose of this study to determine the requirements for and the deficiencies of beginning office workers in selected Waterloo industries and thus provide secondary schools in the immediate area with factual data to assist in the possible development or revision of the business education curricula. In addition, the study was designed to procure figures relative to the number and types of office positions available as well as general information pertaining to office work. It is hoped that this study will provide some small measure of assistance to the business education teachers of the Waterloo area in the guidance of their students and in the determination of business education course content.
