Abstract
For many years colleges and universities have provided reasonably adequate instruction tor school administrators in moat of the areas of their professional education. Required courses in administration, curriculum, and supervision of the secondary school give attention to nearly all phases of the school program. However, it is questionable whether some phases of secondary education have been properly covered, and one of these is the library. Since all areas of responsibility are of concern to school administrators, it is fundamental that the role of the school library be adequately understood and supported by administrators if the library is to make its maximum contribution to the learning process.
