Abstract
The junior college is uniquely American and a part of our total educational pattern as evidenced by its growth and progress in the last fifty years. The need to progress and improve is felt by all institutions of education. National educational surveys are made, but they do not reflect the heart of the individual school; they do not point out its individual strengths and weaknesses; they do not indicate the achievement of unique objectives and goals. If the junior college is to improve its educational effectiveness, it can only be done through introspection and self-study.
