Abstract
Seven faith leaders from three Mainline Protestant denominations were interviewed regarding sex education within their churches. Interviews revealed five themes related to the churches’ role in sex education. The congregation reaction proved to be positive and few negatives were noted related to teaching sex education within the church. Pastors’ comments indicate that churches are a willing partner in comprehensive sex education efforts.
