Description
The Self-Survey Report of Iowa State Teachers College which is presented in these pages is the work of about one hundred members of the faculty whose names appear on a separate sheet. Because the completed reports of the various committees were in some instances longer than seemed necessary, some condensations and omissions were suggested by Dr. Leo Goggin, who read the entire manuscript before it was mimeographed, and by the undersigned. It is hoped that the making of these changes has not resulted in the omission of material which should have been included or in distortion of the report of any committee. The committees worked hard to make their reports accurate and complete.
As is inevitable in any active institution, reports of status which were correct when written will be obsolete before they are read by those most interested. This is particularly true in the case of the report on Student Personnel Services because of the changes in the administrative organization for that work.
The order of the survey reports is essentially that of the Revised Manual of Accrediting of the North Central association. Attention is called to the material in the appendix which may serve to clarify and amplify some of the reports.
