Alt text: A monochrome cartoon postcard depicts a steam train stopped on a track with various humorous scenes. The train is labeled as Southwold Railway, and several people are shown sitting in the train cars. An anchor is attached to the front of the train by a chain and is embedded in the ground. One man is fetching water from a nearby stream with a pail, while another man on top of the engine pours water into the boiler. A sign posted on the locomotive says "back in 5 minutes." A sign next to the tracks says, "Passengers are asked to sit perfectly still so as not to spoil the springs in the seats." A suffragette sits in a nearby tree and is shown tossing a bomb at the train. Above the bomb are the words, "Votes for women." Text at the bottom reads, "The Southwold Express. A slight engine trouble causes a delay, but is soon remedied." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
