Description
Alt text: The back of a vintage postcard is oriented horizontally. The text "post card" is printed in the center top along with the publisher's drawing of a woman's torso on the left. The woman has dark hair and is seen in profile, looking to the right. A green one-cent U.S. postage stamp is in the top right corner. A postmark shows "Eighth Avenue." A line divides the left side, labeled "This side for correspondence," from the right side, which is labeled "This side for address." A handwritten message in pencil on the left side is difficult to read. The right side is addressed to Mrs. J. Albers, care of Mrs. L. Hertel, Golden, Colorado. Handwritten in ink is "Ireland / U.S.A 1879-1949" and "1908, Cartoon artist, publisher, Walter Wellman." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
