Description
Alt text: An anti-suffrage postcard with a gold border, labeled "Suffragette series number 11," features a color illustration of a man doing laundry. He wears a striped shirt and a blue apron over his trousers, leaning over a large wooden tub of water and clothes, working with a washboard. His head is turned as if looking at the viewer of the postcard. To his left, a baby in a white gown and drinking from a bottle sits on the floor. A tabby cat sits on the floor to his right, looking at the baby. The text in a blue plaque on the wall reads, "Everybody works but mother, she's a suffragette." The text at the bottom of the card reads, "I want to vote, but my wife won't let me." The lower border reads "Copyrighted 1909 by Dunston-Weiler Lithograph Company." A band below the postcard has the text "Palczewski Suffrage Postcard Archive."
