Description

Louis H. Sullivan (1856-1924) was an American architect, critic, and mentor. He was an influential architect of the Chicago school, a mentor to Frank Lloyd Wright, and an inspiration to the Chicago group of architects who have come to be known as the Prairie School. All photographs of Louis Sullivan structures in this collection were taken by Carl Thurman, a biology professor at the University of Northern Iowa. The photographs are sorted by state and then by a local inventory number.
