Abstract
Formal education begins with literacy. From a very young age, many children are encouraged to pick up books, even if they are not yet able to read. Once that skill is learned, it is important that every child be able to find books that hold their interest so that they can hone and advance their reading ability. So, when presented the opportunity to contribute to the vast library of books children have to choose from, I eagerly stepped up to the plate. This thesis is a summary of what I learned while writing two children’s books.
