Abstract
This study serves to find out if and how the behaviors of a music conductor affect the attitude, motivation, and participation of his/her students. This project will examine the relationship between conductor influence and student reaction. It is hoped that a better understanding of this relationship will benefit current and future music educators. This research is important because in subjects such as music, the relationship between teacher and student is crucial to the student’s decision to continue studying music. The goal of this study is to describe the correlation between conductor behaviors and student attitude, motivation, and participation. A survey was administered to participants in an effort to discover the correlation.
