Abstract
As part of my masters requirements, I decided to go through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) Process. The NBPTS process requires teachers to thoroughly analyze their practices in order to improve their teaching and student learning. The three entries I chose to highlight in this paper are: Writing: Thinking through the Process, Integrating Mathematics with Science, and Documented Accomplishments: Contributions to Student Learning. Every entry required contextual information about my school and classroom.
