Abstract
The National Board Certification process is a detailed procedure which is designed for teachers to demonstrate mastery of the standards of excellent teaching. I went through the portfolio portion of this process as the creative component of my Master's of Science Education degree at the University of Northern Iowa. In the portfolio process I learned a great deal about my teaching in the science classroom, and how it can be improved.
