Abstract

Risky sexual behavior among adolescents has become a serious and widespread problem in the United States. Risky sexual behavior among adolescents occurs at alarmingly high rates and the related physical, emotional, and financial consequences are staggering. Before looking at modes of possible prevention, it is important to understand the problem and why it has continued to grow in recent years.
