Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to review the literature on barriers and facilitating factors that are associated with physical activity among adolescent females. This paper discusses how selected factors influence physical activity participation and avoidance. Knowledge of these factors may be useful for professionals in the field to better cater to the needs of adolescent girls.
