Abstract
Many physical educators believe that playing games is an inappropriate way to teach students skills, knowledge and decision-making about sports. These teachers believe there are better teaching methods to use in physical education. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the background, application, strengths and weaknesses of the TGFU model. This paper will specifically analyze whether the TGFU model is an effective way to teach students motor skills, knowledge and to make decisions during game play.
