Abstract
The purpose of this literature review is to investigate the qualities involved in training for sport performance and the options available to train these qualities without implements. The review is divided into four chapters followed by a conclusion and an appendix. Each chapter features an in-depth discussion of one of the four qualities of athleticism. Each chapter is divided into four sections: how is the quality defined, how is the quality measured, how is the quality trained and, how can the quality can be trained without implements. The appendix features a video database of implement-free exercises specific to each quality. The featured exercises for each quality are broken down into categories. Click on the exercise name to view the video demonstration.
