Abstract
The purpose of this study was to review and synthesize the available body of published research pertaining to the physiological effects of aerobic exercise during normal pregnancy on fetal and maternal outcome. Specifically, the study was designed to describe the beneficial and/or detrimental effects of maternal aerobic exercise during pregnancy on fetal and maternal outcome as reported in the related research literature.
