Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify related judgmental heuristics cues that could be incorporated in Web site home and donation pages of charitable nonprofit organizations. These types of heuristics could persuade individuals to continue activity on the Web site; thus increasing the possibility for donation activity. As nonprofit organizations begin building more sophisticated and progressive Web sites, they must recognize that the importance of reviewing the content of their sites with the users' cognitive processes in mind. The financial support that is lost by poor or unpersuasive Web site content could be critical for many organizations, and an analytical review of Web site content should be completed.
