Abstract
Throughout the country, there has been a strong focus on adopting curricula encompassing the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The NGSS are a set of K-12 science standards that aim to transform and improve science education in the United States (NGSS Lead States, 2013a). However, locating a curriculum that truly integrates the NGSS has proven to be quite challenging. It is important to research curriculum development around these standards because science education needs improvement in our public schools.
