Abstract
The purpose of this research is to implement a solution to hydraulic fixtures losing pressure. The Six Sigma approach was followed to determine the root cause, and then a solution was implemented. The root cause was determined to be contamination entering the system causing the hydraulic components to fail. An automated pneumatic blow off system was implemented into the system to remove the contamination from the point of entry. This new system completely eliminated the contamination and in tum prevented the hydraulic fixtures from failing and losing pressure.
