Abstract

As industry in our nation becomes more automated and more die casting is used in the formation of so many items used by industry and the consumer, it appears to this writer that knowledge of and experience in the subject area has substantial potential for enriching metal courses in our high school industrial arts program. It is the writer's opinion, arrived at through conversations with fellow instructors and a limited amount of research that there is very little being done on this subject at the high school level, mainly due to the lack of available equipment that is within the school shop budget.
