Abstract
What is school climate? What are the characteristics of schools with positive climates? How can principals develop positive climates in today's schools? Climate is unique to each individual school and reflects the attitudes, behaviors and achievements of the people involved in its operation (Kalis, 1980: National Association of Elementary School Principals [NAESP], 1984).
