Abstract

In the time-frame since the formal process of psychotherapy was first recorded and practiced, there have been numerous claims for what might be considered the most effective method of treatment. Likewise, within the profession of educational counseling, there has been a sustained effort to theories and practices which are both educationally sound and effective. Great care is, and must be, practiced to provide the most appropriate and effective method(s) for the particular client(s). Some procedures may be well suited for certain clients under certain circumstances, but inappropriate for other clients.
